Steve Ricoh Posted January 4, 2018 Share #45143 Posted January 4, 2018 For Phil and James , Kodak Portra 160 dev home lab in Tetenal 38°C Leica M7-Macro Elmar 90-Tripod Image1popkp16m7me90lfht++++1000.jpg Best Henry Now that is simply magic, fantastic Henry! To take the words out of your mouth, as it were, it's unlikely digital could render so well the softness and subtle tones. A true advert for colour film.
Wayne Posted January 4, 2018 Share #45144 Posted January 4, 2018 (edited) Superb b&w rural pictures with your Hektor A great pleasure to watch b&w is film not digital soft lines and real true black Thanks for posting Best Henry Thank you, Henry. This Holga film, while cheap in price, and even in feel as you load into camera, sure seems to do well with the Rodinal. Like you observed, the blacks are surely BLACK. I particularly like the way the tarred roof turned out. Best. Wayne Edited January 4, 2018 by Wayne
A miller Posted January 4, 2018 Share #45145 Posted January 4, 2018 Very sweet, Suede. I'll have to say also a little sad. You've capture her and her environment very well. Kiln at Kampong Chhnang pottery, Cambodia Air intake.jpg Thank you!! Yes, the low barreling sun was blinding and why not embrace it! The lighting is outstanding. Very well seen. Stefan Very cool seen, Phil. It has it all! Now I see why people love that film as the contrast can be made quite strong with the deep blacks and bright whites all rolled into one! The cloud in the distance seems to mock the elegance of the bird flying And congrats on the development. My son James and I finally got around to developing our first batch of C41 films last night. This is from the roll of Ilford XP2 Super that was in the tank with two rolls of Agfa Vista 400: Rosebud, December 2017 Leica M2, 35mm Summaron (1955), Ilford XP2 Super Really love the vibrance of the colors and the bokeh from that f4 lens. Impressive Last couple for tonight - including some poppies for Henry: Canon F1N, FDn 80-200mm f4, Agfa Vista 400
EoinC Posted January 4, 2018 Share #45146 Posted January 4, 2018 This is brilliant, Eoin! Is that you? These pictures must bring back such wonderful memories - and vivid, like the colour films of the day! It is nice, too, to be reminded how beautiful were the colours of Ektachrome 64 - especially the skin-tones and the blues. Hi, Phil. No, it's my boat, but not a photo of me. It's of a fellow Kiwi, Ernie, who was sailing another yacht in the same area. Ektachrome was a fantastic film (at least in my view).

Wayne Posted January 4, 2018 Share #45158 Posted January 4, 2018 (edited) My son James and I finally got around to developing our first batch of C41 films last night. This is from the roll of Ilford XP2 Super that was in the tank with two rolls of Agfa Vista 400: Rosebud, December 2017 Leica M2, 35mm Summaron (1955), Ilford XP2 Super Nice result. When I fist looked at it, I thought you were being pretty brave with B&W film in C41 process.............It then came to memory that XP2 is a C41 film. So how long did the flying bird make you wait? Welcome Logan and beautiful pictures in b&w As I see you like B&w film and you're right because black is black in film , homogenous black and nice black , not the case in digital color converted in black Best Henry Edited January 4, 2018 by Doc Henry
