stray cat Posted December 22, 2017 Share #44146 Posted December 22, 2017 Here's the Ektar version of the photo that I shared earlier this week that was taken with Delta 3200. From Central Park, NYC 80mm Planar, 503cw Central Park_.jpg That's funny, Adam - this time I much prefer the Ektar version, an exercise in subtlety and restraint. I think credit where credit's due - the city planners who favoured this subdued colour scheme for the parks and surrounds - lifted by that beautiful russet tree. No garish red thing to assault the eye. And full credit to the photographer for choosing such beautiful light to perfectly complement the design and the scene. Bravo!

A miller Posted December 22, 2017 Share #44153 Posted December 22, 2017 Many thanks, Phil. I have wondered from time to time how much planning really went into the landscape of Central Park. It is a really magical place; a gift that keeps on giving! That's funny, Adam - this time I much prefer the Ektar version, an exercise in subtlety and restraint. I think credit where credit's due - the city planners who favoured this subdued colour scheme for the parks and surrounds - lifted by that beautiful russet tree. It might be me but you might re-look at the horizon. Seems possibly a little tilted. But over a nice high contrast POV. M6 35 f/2 HP5+PlustekThe Pier by -Steve Ricoh- Really lovely framing, Bob. Suede Posted December 22, 2017 Share #44159 Posted December 22, 2017 oops here's the pic ... Really punchy colours in your series, Steve. There is a certain riotous bright-eyedness to them which is pleasing to look at.

Steve - very nice. True, there isn't the warmth and nasty reaction to the fluorescent lights that one might expect from portra 800 - which is a very good thing!. However, I think you'd expect much more red halos from the Cinestill - a dead giveaway. I am impressed by the color balance in this Subway shot.
