chrism Posted August 7, 2017 Share #37870 Posted August 7, 2017 Wow beautiful red Chris and the stone in grey is superb You have some white spots in the black of stone , it's what I mean above For color Chris , you need rotation Thank you Henry No shortage of rotation there, but I did make a short cut that I regret. This was the last film for that batch of chemicals, so as the stabiliser was churning around I just added a five drops of PhotoFlo (knowing I was going to discard the solution), rather than emptying the tank, adding water and then PhotoFlo. All sorts of drying marks. The last strip of film with the Miata in it had them too, but by then I had noticed them and so it was wiped with isopropanol before scanning and none of those marks survived that treatment.

chrism Posted August 7, 2017 Share #37872 Posted August 7, 2017 I have two rolls of this film left. It is a true shame it was discontinued. I wonder if Acros 100, shot at 400, would be similar? I've got some bulk rolls of Neopan 400 and Acros 100 sold as Legacy Pro 400 and 100 by Freestyle a few years back. I'd be more inclined to use the 400 at 100, but even then I can't say I like Acros 100 better than the other 100-125 films I have. Use them up and get to the good stuff is my intention, however ill-informed and unsophisticated it might be.
Stealth3kpl Posted August 7, 2017 Share #37873 Posted August 7, 2017 (edited) Chris, I think the Legacy Pro 400 is triX. I have a roll too. Oh, now after a search I see it is indeed Neopan. That was a close one! Thanks Pete Edited August 7, 2017 by Stealth3kpl
chrism Posted August 7, 2017 Share #37874 Posted August 7, 2017 When you finish a 100' roll, and take the metal spool out of the Lloyd loader, you can see 'Fuji' inscribed on the spool. Freestyle did sell bulk Tri-X and Plus-X, but under the name Arista Premium (not Arista EDU, which is probably Fomapan). C.
gnuyork Posted August 7, 2017 Share #37875 Posted August 7, 2017 (edited) Just got 6 rolls of color film back for the lab today. 4 E6 and 2 C41 - my first Portra 400. Looking forward to scanning them soon, but I have Row practice tonight and I will most certainly be tired when I return. It's been years since I have sent color film away to the lab...$12 a pop for the processing...yikes! I need to look into doing E6 and C41 at home. Also Rolleiflex came back from CLA Friday, so I look forward to putting some rolls through it, and I've still yet to shoot the borrowed 503. Maybe this week... busy busy! Dan Ryan Posted August 8, 2017 Share #37878 Posted August 8, 2017 Canonet QL17 III E100VS (B&W converted in LR) Really well chosen exposures. For me it was a toss up between the 2nd and 3rd. I think the 3rd wins - a really attractive composition which shows off the silver leaves to advantage.
