christoph_d Posted February 19, 2017 Share #28468 Posted February 19, 2017 Adam, The second, the first is too close to appreciate the scene. Did you also take a picture of a bear? Rgds C.
A miller Posted February 19, 2017 Share #28469 Posted February 19, 2017 (edited) Thanks, Keith, Henry and Christoph. I tend to agree although the first is more in line with the "in your face" theme of the rest of the series... christoph_d Posted February 19, 2017 Share #28470 Posted February 19, 2017 At the castle of Les Baux-de-Provence actors are frequently seen imitating life in medieval times. They are funny and good at their job. I managed to capture this specimen on film (what else?) Welcome, dear visitor! erl Posted February 20, 2017 Share #28479 Posted February 20, 2017 Wayne, on the contrary, the photos are not "pretty bad" as you say. As an old theatrical photographer I understand the extreme limitations you were working with, both environment and gear. Maybe a slight tweak of contrast would lift the images a bit more. Not much more would be possible with any other film camera. Some digital cameras could improve the the reproduction definition, such as a Sony A7S shooting at high ISO, but as Henry would say, 'too much sharpness and smoothing' . Besides, you like the vintage look, so you are in front. Remember, Delta 3200 is a grainy film, so that is what you get. At that level, sharpness goes out the window. The image is what counts!
