A miller Posted February 17, 2017 Share #28401 Posted February 17, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Adam ha ha , so we'll see soon "schmootzing" pictures H. ha, ha, we shall see. I bought into this initial release project a year ago and at that time didn't have the knowledge that I do now. They say they fixed the problem, but the film is still in the testing stage. They wanted to send to me 5 rolls of the 35mm format of each of the 800T and 50D, but I told them that they could hang on to it and give it to someone else

A miller Posted February 17, 2017 Share #28402 Posted February 17, 2017 Oak Park Illinois 1944. That's me with my grandparents and their Pontiac. Camera unknown. My father had several at the time. No identification on the negatives except the frame number. I wonder if any of my digital images will still be around in 73 years. wonderful, Doug. What a terrific moment shot by someone who knew how to capture a moment and the medium to use

Wow it's great Doug and what a beautiful memory when you look in 2017 The film remained intact during 73 years .You're right Doug, 73 years not enough recoil for the digital. Not sure, it is better to keep in negative film for our children and grandchildren rather than binary 1 and 0 in a computer which will become obsolete . Thanks for posting Henry Edited February 17, 2017 by Doc Henry

I scanned all of my father's negatives that survived his travels around the country and sent the files to our son. And I made inkjet prints of most of the keepers and sent them to my sister. I'd hate to lose these important family records to a fire or a flood. Edited February 17, 2017 by Doug A
gsgary Posted February 17, 2017 Share #28406 Posted February 17, 2017 After my stressful week of Certification audit last week and having completed my family duties I escaped again for a walk around a local lake which has quite a few swans. All of which are crown property here in the UK and are protected by law. After Adams use of flash for street photography I thought I would experiment with it too, but yesterday outside at 3pm, 2 hours before it starts getting dark now. My first film was Fujicolor Superior X-TRA 400. I have never used it before, so it added to the excitement, but I had just a few shots left. This with the R9, 28-70 & Metz 54 MZ-3. This was scanned to TIFF and just saved to jpeg from Apple Preview. Colour setting to Neutral on scanner. Regards Christopher Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk When shouting flash and ambient light you have 2 exposures, shutter speed controls your ambient exposure and aperture controls your flash exposure Sent from my SM-G903F using Tapatalk

I usually get the effect I want. Sometimes I forget about foreground foliage and it burns out, but that can sometimes be corrected too. Thanks. The R9 and Metz were new to me so I did a lot of experiments. It was quite good. I used flash to black out some distracting backgrounds too. gnuyork Posted February 17, 2017 Share #28414 Posted February 17, 2017 (edited) Here are two (un artsy shots) of Tri-X done in TMax RS. This is from a test roll (my first B&W through the M6) at a friend's house. I'm disclosing that because I don't want anybody to think I'm that messy (though my wife might think so) I like the tonality and contrast on the combination. For the record, I forgot I was using Tmax Developer and processed to D76 times from habit... not sure if it's the same or not. M6 Summaron 35 (?) Maybe it was the 50 Summicron Tri-X Edited February 17, 2017 by gnuyork
