Thanks Best Henry The Contax T3, one of my all-time favourite film cameras has a fixed Zeiss 2.8/35 T* Sonnar. EoinC Posted September 22, 2016 Share #21427 Posted September 22, 2016 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Lovely image, Christoph. Somehow, to my off-kilter brain, it reads like two children debarking from a space vessel. I was similarly off-kilter - My impression was two children in a future city. I like the combination of the human aspect, countering the hard, sharp angles. Isn't it grand when an image sets one's mind wandering? The best images (IMHO) are not self-explanatory. christoph_d Posted September 22, 2016 Share #21428 Posted September 22, 2016 Christoph nice framing with kids at the reight moment Best Henry Lovely image, Christoph. Somehow, to my off-kilter brain, it reads like two children debarking from a space vessel. Wonderful shot, Christoph! I was similarly off-kilter - My impression was two children in a future city. I like the combination of the human aspect, countering the hard, sharp angles. Isn't it grand when an image sets one's mind wandering? The best images (IMHO) are not self-explanatory. Thank you all for your responses. I saw the two kids descending on the ramp in front of the building, but initially the angle wasn't right and I hesitantly proceeded to walk on. Then, suddenly the composition emerged and I quickly framed and took this picture. The kids holding hands really made the picture interesting to me - triggered perhaps by W. Eugene Smiths' "Walk to Paradise Garden", though it is in a rather different environment. Best regards Christoph

A miller Posted September 22, 2016 Share #21434 Posted September 22, 2016 Adam, this picture is also nice for the color of sea like your last picture posted above. The green is superb. Best Henry Adam, The scenery and particularly the colours look "otherworldly". Rgds C. Heck yes C, and it must be soooooo different to his usual stomping ground, downtown NYC. Gary This one is particularly excellent, Adam. The depth, and the blue to green, are wonderful. Thanks, all! As much as love these photos, I actually am missing PEOPLE and am looking forward to almost being done scanning the non-people stuff so I can turn to the most interesting subjects of all (PEOPLE)
