This is from a very windy evening on the beach here in town, which was great because all the smoke blew away quickly but it made the streaks much longer than expected. I've never really shot fireworks before but I knew I wanted to have people in the pictures, hence the low position. This was the evening's second shot on the 203FE and had the longest shutter speed, around 12 or 14 secs. The tripod dug into the sand to the right but I like the slanted horizon because it works well with how the people are arranged (all by accident of course). I also shot with my EOS so I'll post some from that roll if any are OK.

Impressive DoF at f64!

Looking on your Flickr site, the definition on these is stunning, Philip, especially the trees and fences on the second shot, with the rocks in the foreground. Very nice shots, and excellent work throughout.

Love it, Gregor.  My kind of "on the way to work" shot, taking the photo opportunities as they come.

What kind of film is that??

Hello Adam,

Nice photo.

Lucky photographer.

Best Regards,

Michael

Thanks, Michael.  You are right :)

Of course you are right.  :)

Even with schmootz I'd say this would be a winner.

Lovely.

Gary

Ha, ha, Gary.  Let's just keep the schmootz out of this.   I hope that stuff will remain a distant memory... :)
