derphilipp Posted July 29, 2016 Share #19123 Posted July 29, 2016 Thanks Philip nice landscape in 1 and 2 Nice architecture (picture 3) of typical pagoda roof in VN and I like the walker in background Very original picture and superb color in the 4 and the blur of bike makes a picture in 5 Best Henry Which film I think it's Fuji ? Thank you very much It's all Kodak Portra 160 and 400. But I assume because I use a fuji frontier sp500 scanner they might have a hint of "fuji look" to them

zipper Posted July 29, 2016 Share #19129 Posted July 29, 2016 (edited) My main issue with digital is the rendition of red. Also, for street photography the chance 'snap-shot' is sometimes missed in camera start up, unlike my M2 here. I'll continue to shoot mostly digital for workflow and the other reasons, but film has something special for me too. Welcome, dear visitor! Mao smallest.jpg Zipper thanks for sharing with us and welcome Nice Place Tien an Men in color ! About red , you know I love poppies. When I take with my M digital I am not satisfied the red of poppies is "arterial blood" color and only film can reproduce this Best Henry Edited July 29, 2016 by Doc Henry
Doc Henry Posted July 29, 2016 Author Share #19132 Posted July 29, 2016 Here the real red of poppies and for Zipper You can believe me because each year at May June I shoot poppies for the beauty of this flower and for the red as I mentioned in my last post. I can show you again in comparison with M digit (already posted above) Kodak Portra 160 (dev home Tetenal 30°C) Leica M7 Apo Summicron 90 Asph enjoy the red of poppies with "soft" line and edges of the picture similar a painting "not agressive" or "cutting" edges of digital photo type "cigarette paper" of poppies (too thin and "flat") That said , you are right if needed to continue in digital . No problem ! Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members!
