Advertisement Posted July 27, 2016 Posted July 27, 2016 Hi Doc Henry, Take a look here I like film...(open thread). I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
gbealnz Posted July 27, 2016 Share #19042 Posted July 27, 2016 The definition or resolution is the best with the film . Nothing can compare with it Look at the definition of this crop at 100% : no "banding" or "inhomogeneity" in the black (I mean deep black) case in digital Nice grey shade. No smoothing pixels please , more natural picture, not synthetic transformed by the camera software. Very impressive quality of film ! Image3avprunayKodakmp+++-2-950.jpg Henry Henry. While ordinarily I wouldn't mention it, your comparison to digital prompts me to point out an apparent lighter band running vertically slightly right of center. Processing or my eyes? Doc Henry Posted July 27, 2016 Author Share #19043 Posted July 27, 2016 I haven't used the Rollei Retro (although I believe I have a couple of 100' rolls of it languishing in the freezer!) but Pan F I develop with HC-110 1+47 for 5min 30secs just as the Massive Development chart suggests. It looks like this: Millard Creek by chrism229, on Flickr Chris Chris a nice well balance in b&w tone Best Henry

But even without that I can still see it above the wing, against the sky. Gary

Michael Geschlecht Posted July 27, 2016 Share #19057 Posted July 27, 2016 (edited) Hello Henry, I read this Thread all of the time. I just don't comment as often as I read. In the German Language part of this form there are allerlei (all kinds of) sub-sections dealing with many different photographic categories. Separate sub-sections dealing with zum beispiel (for example): Railroads, railroad stations, airports, specific geographical areas, etc. You just have to go thru the various photographic categories. Just as in this Thread: Anyone can Post there even if they don't read or/& write in German: Because everybody's pictures are always in the same language.
