Christoph, which browser do you use to view the forum? The pinkish balance is not intentional, but when I view this in Google Chrome, it is in fact pinkish (too much).

Gnu, I hope you allow me, but I see your picture like this :)

WB + a bit contrast (in LightRoom) to highlight the boy

No problem Henry, it is an area where I struggle, setting the "correct" white balance. Don't seem to have this problem with mono.

Thanks Gary but you can have "stuffy" black problem in digital b&w

a black "synthetic" , especially when you converted color in b&w

and also some "banding" as in the MM or "inhomogeneous" black.

In b&w film , underexposure or overexposure can happen but can

be corrected :)

....

I add that some color films can have a small dominant

I noticed that when I develop  myself or when an outside lab develops.

Reason ? exposure?  but we can see that little dominant veil

and you recognize immediately

No I don't mind Henry - I'm getting frustrated with this color profiling stuff. Things look fine to me in Safari, but not in Chrome. What I see in Safari is closer to your rendition, but with a touch less contrast.
