My take on Adam's :-) Park Avenue statue ..... seems to me more like Munch's Scream in the midst of typical midday traffic surrounded by office buildings. In any event, this taken with my Fuji 645 (great camera, btw!) and Fuji 400H. Was trying out the Fuji for my trip out west and find it doesn't have quite the same latitude as Portra but cleaner in the shadows. Others feel the same?  Appreciate the coming comments ..

another version of the same . . . .

Steve , very nice pictures and you show us the place where Adam has taken this statue

Superb color  :)

Thanks for posting

Back to poppies taken 2 days ago...

Apo Telyt 135 Asph is a fabulous lens where you can see all details and structure.

I don't regret to buy this lens :)

Poppies in wheat fields ,

with wind and the sun's reflection on wheat

Country fresh air and morning breathe , silence , no pollution  ... a great moment for relaxing

when I shoot these poppies  pictures

Notice the red color of poppies in contre-jour like human blood  :)

Kodak Portra 160 , superb color for contre-jour picture :)

Leica M7

The Sun Dial

Apropos of nothing much, this is the old town in Trois Rivières, Québec. The city is roughly half way between Québec City and Montréal, and it is normally easy to ignore it while driving between the two larger cities (which we do generally at least annually). That is a small mistake – Trois Rivières is a charming small town, and its old section is attractive and historic. It dates from about 1635 and houses old churches, museums and a old jail that was only abandoned (or repurposed) in fairly recent times. The harbour has been restored and is very attractive. There is an old Anglican church (St James) that bears witness to a now tiny Anglophone population, which was once a much larger player in the local life.

For those who care - XP2.

Notice the "soft" edge of poppies :)with "thick" side and not fine ("cigarette paper" type)
as digital.

The two lens Apo Telyt 135 Asph (pictures posted above) and Apo Summicron 90 Asph

give slightly different pictures.
