Yes indeed, it is a hatchback Trabi, I believe.

Your photo reminded me of a scene in the movie Sideways. It's where Miles and Jack stop the Saab on a rather scenic point and have (I seem to remember) an argument.

Thanks Philip for your nice comment. :)

Landscape a bit foggy , some hills around in several levels , some trees ...

in color or in b&w film : the result is well reproduced by film with soft lines and natural color

Philip is't the Trabant car ?

Nice series with soft and beautiful color of Fuji Pro

I'm in the process of scanning rolls shot in Budapest in October so here are a few impressions from the old town, which is a very pretty place (all on Pro 160S with my M4 and 50/2 v3).

The Trabant car photo is my favourite, the colours appear to compliment one another - a study in pastel !

Advertisement (gone after registration)

View from the Ridgeway at Hackpen Hill - typical beech copse with Wroughton airfield in the distance.  One more from my first outing a couple of weeks ago with my 'new' Fuji GW690II.  This one is Tri-X/Rodinal.

Tree, mist, snow. All elements present and correct. :-)

I agree with Ric ,  very nice color picture of fog Chris

As is yours Henry, thanks both, just that subtle colour you get  in the fog/mist, I find digital struggles in those conditions in colour, it needs those smoooooth transitions that even scanning seems to hold from film.

H The fact that the digital backs (as I understand it) only have useable ISO up to 800-1600 means that the camera would be somewhat similar to film, which is in itself also appealing.

..oh my, where will this end?

Philip

It will end in penury that's where!!

Usable is debatable, it is like shooting "slide" film, not much headroom and much above base ISO becomes noisy. It does have some advantages though  :)

All/some of the pros are moving from the CCD to the new CMOS in MFD so prices are tumbling and the CMOS price competition is becoming established as all makers are using the same Sony chip so chasing prices down being directly comparable.

Hasselblad is strongly rumoured to have a H6D due with a major body overhaul that should again bring down S/H prices for the older models.

I am eyeing Rolleiflex, I have had one, but years ago and didn't appreciate it at the time, tastes change.

And since I live in arguably the fog capital of this country, I have been hanging out for some real fog (it's autumn here now, so just starting). The Fog-Master from Zurich has been setting a cracking pace.

First foggy morning, I wandered about the farm. The aforementioned Retropan and the old 50 Summicron seemed natural for this task/

In some portraits, I really love the Ilford Art 300.It feels almost like Baryt but a bit easier to handle.

Unfortunately my scan from the print is lightyears away from the beauty and feel of the surface.

best regards

Marc

I don't care if it's a bad scan it looks good to me and the subject is wonderful
