What, did you forget to turn on digital ICE? :D I like the colours a lot and the composition is very nice, too.

Digital ICE, I am purist !!!!

I bought the Plustek 8100 thinking I would only be taking black and white images, now I have found colour I will have to live without it for 35mm.

Do you know if there is a digital ICE for the Vuescan/ Epson v700 nomination ?

Please excuse the dust

Is that a scan of a print ? I would prefer to scan prints for posting but the dust can be so bad with prints and a little more manageable scanning negatives.

And now some still life - no sheep, people or trees ! I really need to take more care of negatives !

Porta 160 taken with Hasselblad, processed with ColourPerfect. I used a 16mm macro extension tube with a 150mm lens and had real problems finding a reasonable depth of field.

Great shot Adam. Looks like they'll have a fantastic day :)

Wow, that's amazingly shallow (not to be taken personally lol). I'm going to add a few tubes so it's interesting to see the effects of a 16mm on a 150.

I thought the V700 has digital ICE but perhaps I'm wrong. I have never used one myself.

Adam,

You've got yourself a very critical view there!

How do you like the Portra 800?

Rgds

Christoph

Thanks, Christoph.  The portra 800 is ok for this type of shooting.  I shoot it about the same way that I shoot portra 400 pushed 1 stop (by over exposing a bit).  But it is considerably more expensive than the portra 400 and I am coming around to thinking that the 400 is a little better for this type of shooting.  It handles the push really well and is more balanced in its colors (the 800 is warmer).

I really like this format! May I ask how you scan it?

Hi,

you can use a Epson V600 or V700 scanners which holder lets you scan 5 pictures at once of a 135 film roll or you can stitch 2 scans:

I actually have a lab do it for me !

Hope this helps ! Cheers JM
