And Kodak Portra 400 (with Olympus XA) in Iceland, with it's beautiful sheep in the wind. A reminder of summer, and with some fog, for Henry

I have so far manfully resisted growing temptation to buy just such a beast - and it has just become harder!  Will have to keep reminding myself that I'm a knackered old git and that weightwise my Rolleicord Vb is about my limit.  Lug a tripod around? Forget it.   :(    I do have the Sekonic L208 though!

PS - look forward to seeing your first results, Gary.

they are all so wonderful. but why so small?? would love to see larger versions if you can make it happen...

Thanks! I'll try tomorrow to upload them a little larger, but somehow I'm struggling a little with the size of the files and the maximum upload quotum for a message on this thread. I know I'm not doing something right as I've seen so many great pictures passing by here!

I'm knackered at the moment with a trapped femoral nerve but the Fuji is not very heavy

I agree a wonderful series of panoramic.

But I had exactly the same feeling as Philip, the 3rd photograph looks like an architects sketch of how a new building will look - there is something about the man in the middle walking away from the steps/ building. It just works.

OK, Done!  The group is Film Photographers International: https://www.facebook.com/groups/143150712736072/

It's a closed group intended for film photographers to share their wisdom and their images, all here are welcome to join!  :)

I made 3 vows some 10 years ago when I went self-employed - 1) never work in West Africa/ Iraq/ Afghanistan, 2) never go into Starbucks at the weekends or school holidays and, 3) never join Facebook.

Now I can say I have broken all my vows (well only 2 out of 3 of 1)). I look forward to my pending request being accepted. And I have also joined a darkroom group ! I don't know how I will keep up with it all. Going analogue involves an awful lot of digital ...

Thanks, Trev.  Me and Steve were a riot.  Steve had his stealthy M-A and a few lenses and was fluttering around the observatory like tinker-bell while I stayed in one place the entire time (most bent over or squatting) and got my ass and back sore, which was about 3 hours  :o   I have one or two more interesting ones to share later, but Steve certainly did very well with his Leicas and portra.

I will say, though, as much as it sucked to be stuck in that one place, the result of being able to print the mere couple of keepers the size of a wall with no problem is quite satisfying...

Are you allowed tripods at the top of the Freedom Towers and are you enclosed in glass etc ? It doesn't look like it ! Lovely colours.

Are these buildings known as 'Brown Stones' or is that for the more exclusive buildings in Manhattan ?

Excellent David,

A nice vista with impressive trees. In pictures like this I always find it difficult to keep the sky - blotched out whiteness - out of the picture, it always seems to kreep in between the treetrunks and branches. You succeeded beautifully here. And I do like the dark character of Fomapan.

Rgds
