dgc Posted January 29, 2016 Share #10302 Posted January 29, 2016 Back to Lacock Abbey, same roll of HP5+. M7 & 35mm Summaron. As a comparison, taken the same afternoon with M240, albeit with a 50mm lens (Summilux-M ASPH) Preference? I prefer the tones and framing (focal length) in the film image, but the cleaner lines on the wall on the left in the digital. It would be interesting to see the difference between the prints; I am assuming the film image is scan of a negative and not a print.

philipus Posted January 29, 2016 Share #10305 Posted January 29, 2016 An interesting comparison of two quite different shots. I'm in favour of the tones and grain of the first. I find the composition to be slightly stronger in the second one. Back to Lacock Abbey, same roll of HP5+. M7 & 35mm Summaron. Doc Henry Posted January 29, 2016 Author Share #10310 Posted January 29, 2016 (edited) As I had to act rather quickly I missed the exposure a bit on this one (which gave a rather grainy scan), so I converted it to b&w. Flickr M4 50/2 v3 Superia 400 I recognize now your style Philip Well done and framing , just at a right moment Henry Edited January 29, 2016 by Doc Henry
A miller Posted January 29, 2016 Share #10311 Posted January 29, 2016 Maybe a combination of an ISO 400 sticker plus the exp comp would do the trick. Hmm. Best thing to do is to buy and try... Ric no reason I can think of that this wouldn't work.

Keith (M) Posted January 29, 2016 Share #10317 Posted January 29, 2016 Sunlight & shadows in Westonbirt Arboretum. M7 & C-Sonnar 50mm. One more from my latest roll of HP5+. The results from this roll are making me review my opinion of it - so far it has been third choice behind Tri-X & Neopan 400 but it might just have moved up the pecking order! Now the M7 is loaded with Neopan. PS - just received a roll of 120 Velvia back from AG Photo Lab, so will be making a start on scanning the slides this afternoon, so standby for some punchy colours. 6x6cm slides - drool!
