Keith (M) Posted January 9, 2016 Share #9383 Posted January 9, 2016 A few recent ones (mainly T-max 100) around Avebury (Keith's stomping ground). Indeed - and just to prove it, here are the Neolithic earthworks watched over by some impressively bare trees. Another Rolleicord/XP2/Rodinal shot. Welcome, dear visitor! Keith (M) Posted January 9, 2016 Share #9384 Posted January 9, 2016 I started this year with only one new years resolution. I want to start developing my own Black an White film at home in 2016. I order a "Starter Kit" with Rodinal and planned to shot a few cheap test films from my local drug store to start with. Nevertheless I couldn't wait anymore and developed a Tri-X @ 1600 full of great shots. I failed. -.- Maybe you noticed my thread in the darkroom area... Thanks to the Forum I know what I got wrong and shot a cheap drug store film to give it a second try I think it worked quite well. As always, M6 with 35 Summicron IV and yellow filter. Shot on APX 100. Great detail and tones - excellent results!

A miller Posted January 9, 2016 Share #9394 Posted January 9, 2016 From my short trip in the Dolomites, M7, Ilford XP2 Stunning, Robert. A far cry from the CInestill 50 you were asking about; but demonstrative of the fact that just about any good film will work given the right composition and lighting (which you managed to find in spades here) Did you end up trying out the CInestill 50?
Guest JMF Posted January 10, 2016 Share #9395 Posted January 10, 2016 (edited) You have said "tonality" and "details" ? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vuozXCv2nJQ look at this film picture of Manivelle. philipus Posted January 10, 2016 Share #9398 Posted January 10, 2016 All these fantastic b&w photos have me wanting to shoot more of that. I usually use Tri-X and Double-X which I really like. But great as they are I'm beginning to want to shoot something more fine-grained. I only use HC-110 and Diafine so would you, esteemed members, know which of the slow fine-grained b&w films out there (in 135) will work well with these developers? Thanks in advancephilip
otto.f Posted January 10, 2016 Share #9399 Posted January 10, 2016 From my short trip in the Dolomites, M7, Ilford XP2 Awesomely good, really Ansel Adams level and this with 24*36mm. Great! Thanks in advance philip I see no harm in HC110 for Delta100 although I prefered Gammanool from Amaloco which is gone now. My next experiment will be SPUR with Delta100
