On the subway theme:

I scanned some old negatives lately. This one dates from 1998. During my short trip to Tokio I purchased my first digital camera, a Minolta Dimage with VGA resolution. It came with a 2 MB flash card and I took a stunning 4 MB card extra. I can´t remember, what camera I used then, but it must have been some kind of these cheap plastic things from the early nineties :)

Fabulous

Fabulous photo Marc. I keep going back to it.

Thank you very much for your kind comments. I really liked the Summarit for street photography because it is so compact and works very well no matter which light condition you have. But I sold it lately and bought an old 35/1.4 (preasph). It is still a bit more compact and up to now it also works very well. Some say it is a Diva, but if I can handle my wife in most of the cases (which is 30%), it should also work the the lens. ;)

best regards

Marc

I really like this photo! Algeria is really a beautiful country. What a pity that right now it is almost too dangerous to travel. I met many friendly people there

best regards

@rirakuma  Super set. #2 is fabulous. Plenty of detail and super contrast.

Thank you Henry and Trev!

Henry, middle-of-the-day alpine light was  always going to give you problems with blocked shadows on Kodachrome and your scanner probably doesn't have enough muscle to punch through them. I couldn't resist a fiddle whilst waiting for some batch processing: a little noise reduction, gentle curve adjustment, yellow cast removal and tweaking the colour balance might improve things a little.  Hope you don't mind!

Thanks Honcho , we have more relief in your last version.

Not easy , color interpretation and correction , as I said above !

..... no worries :)  and you are welcome Honcho.

Merry Christmas
