Doc Henry Posted December 21, 2015 Author Share #8802 Posted December 21, 2015 Hi all, As for film vs digital, I never left film photography but tried my hand on a Fuji x100. Nice little thing but not for me. Didn't keep it very long. Even in film cameras I made my choise. After many years shooting only Hasselblads and Rolleiflexs I finally am back in the Leica world. Traded my amazing Rolleiflex 3.5f white face against a freshly cla'd M3 ds with a summicron v4. Great to be back here You are welcome Rainer and we wait for your certainly nice film pictures Best regards Henry

Doc Henry Posted December 21, 2015 Author Share #8806 Posted December 21, 2015 (edited) I/we do Henry, but possibly not as spectacular as some of the overseas ones, the tallest here is about 12500' so quite modest compared. And capping that off, I am domiciled in the upper North Island, with "most" of the spectacular scenery in the South Island. One day.............. Gary Gary, south NZ certainly very impressive mountain with wonderful landscape pictures like in the "Lord of the Rings" movie of Peter Jackson Best Henry Edited December 21, 2015 by Doc Henry
chrism Posted December 21, 2015 Share #8807 Posted December 21, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have joined the meterless club for 35mm, having decided that I shoot MF and LF quite happily without a meter in the camera, so why not simplify things for 35mm? (I also have to dispose of lots of gear so that it won't be a problem for my wife when the leukemia comes back.) So I have done a deal with my enabler, the wonderful Jean at Camtec in Montreal, to reduce all my Leica gear to a 1963 M2 and silver 35 Lux, 50 Lux and 90 Summarit. The M2 arrived today, so I put a roll of Tri-X through it: Stump by chrism229, on Flickr 136 by chrism229, on Flickr Chris

Michael Hiles Posted December 22, 2015 Share #8810 Posted December 22, 2015 Chris, I like your pictures. And an M2 with a 35, 50, and 90 can dominate the field. It is what I always travel with - and I take a meter that stays in my suitcase. Best with your health issues. And yes, Jean Bardji is terrific.
