I never tried the Silvermax developer, as my Rodinal seems to last for ever and one day :) But I think I have some more rolls of Silvermax in the fridge, so it would be worth to buy and try the dedicated developer to see the difference - although I think my developing skills are far too poor to work out any significant differences.

Is this where you live, Henry? I've passed through a couple of times whilst flying at Annecy (Doussard) and Le Grand Bornand.

Pete

Pete, I should normally go for a mountain climbing at 3000 m, when I was in the area for the wedding of the son of my friend, the weather was bad with snow, fog and avalanche risk , climbing was canceled and postponed .... and I have done instead tourism :), otherwise very beautiful place, you have reason to go.Le Grand Bornand is also nice !

Cheers

I think I'm beginning to see the claimed extended tonal range of Adox Silvermax here.  It's handled quite a range of tones very well in this image, I particularly like the accutance of this film and developer combination.

Adox Silvermax processed in Silvermax developer @ 20 deg., four inversions per minute.

This thread rocks! Thank you all for sharing your work, it is ever so inspirational!

Here comes another shot on Silvermax, developed in Rodinal (1+50 @16 °C / 18 min):

I just love the look of this kid.  Very photogenic.  And you do so well capturing him.  Much enjoyed

Perhaps we can ask Andreas (LUF Admin) about a specific Film sub-forum here in Photo Forum? I think it would be nice to discuss film shots separately.

Some more color :)

Very nice colors Ellie of Fuji Superia 200, very soft and relaxing color !

May be it depends on shots or C41 development labs temperature ?

for color changes in Fuji no ?

About your question, thank you for the suggestion.

Else thinks?
There already has a forum "film" for shooting conditions
Personally we can discuss the conditions of shots here right  ?
Up to you?
The photo section is apparently photos only
:)

I'll ask Andreas after all your  remarks or suggestions ?

Best
