Cuthbert, I also noticed that sometimes Fuji gives too bright red and must desaturate a bit with LR

Kodak Portra is correct for red

It can also depend on a scanner

You're right , JC Bresson do very little color but mostly black and white :)

Thanks for posting again

Yes I agree with your assessment, Portra is probably the best CN in circulation (I tried Fuji Pro only once, it was very good but alas very expensive), Ektar is good if you want saturated colours too, but in a better way than consumer's grade Fuji. Plus, Superia badly manages overexposure and if it's cloudy it becomes mushy, but under strong light it gives nice colours too.

This is a Superia pic, I was trying to get narrow DOF to have some bokeh, but I had to overexpose since I don't have rfs with a shutter faster than 1/2000s:

It's pretty bad.

This is an Ektar shot, much better:

Still, I feel my B&W shots are better, perhaps I'm not good at getting the best from colour, but I greatly prefer these two shots, for instance:

They're sooo much better!

Steve stunning picture for the the "softness" of the film rendering for this wedding picture,

perfect for this event, no "hardness" in general rendering.

Thanks for sharing
