Steve , I find that orange filter softens the image and without ?

It's beautiful anyway, nice picture of snow

I used film for the quite some time.

Mostly slide film when I was young, colour film when the children were growing up.

In 2007, I switched to digital.

Last year though, I re-acquainted myself with film again. I got a Nikon FE2 and a Zeiss Ikon ZM, both second hand of course.

At least for now, I'll use these only rarely.

I have no equipment for scanning at this point, so I only have the scans from the lab to share. Just examples from the Zeiss Ikon with Leica lenses.

These are from a less "touristy" part of Ghent by the way.

I've converted some to b&w as well. For a next post :)

An example of a "one-two punch" at a cross walk on 5th Avenue. The second is less than a meter away.

Which do you like better? I like the gestures of the two Asian women in the first, as well as their sense of fashion. I like the intimacy of the second, although it lacks context. So I would probably pick the first, although I'm not sure it is a "keeper".

Hi, difficult to choose Adam

Both are good for me.

The first one for the enhancement of the crowd with varied faces, with their own physiognomy , especially

this sexy and provocative look of the lady in black fur compared to others.

The second with a close up of that lady who is beautiful :)

Nice shots Adam and nice color (natural)

Love the photo of the field Henry. Beautiful colors and a very dreamy feeling I get from seeing it.

Adam, first one for me. Maybe the second one 'if' she was a bit more to the right of the frame...

Hi Allan, this photo of this great wheat field with only a few wild poppies taken with 90 tele and that leaves us

a "bit dreamy" as you say, can not be reproduced with this touching side with digital camera (because I've also

taken with my M9).

Only the film makes this possible context , with that rendering at the same time blurry and sharp...and

with "soft" lines of poppies :)

Thanks for your comment.

Definitely the first for me, although the second is far from a dud. Ravishing colour and light, as always.

That's where the difference between a digital photo and film image

- digital corrected LR (below) and

- film without correction (in attachment)

but the blue color of the morning (8.am) is not well reproduced , unless playing on Lightroom cursors and lose hours to correct but with uncertain results

but still found the Kodak color of the sensor (the floor) !
