Antonio Antonio Thanks for your nice comment Thank you for your proposal to use your avatar No, I do not have 90 Elmar f / 4 but f/2.8 Critics say this : "the sharpness is very high, excellent center at full aperture, the rest of the field is very good at f/2.8 and excellent from f / 4: note almost 5/5" I was the photographer to another wedding I used the same lens Welcome, dear visitor! imported_peter_m Posted October 17, 2013 Share #486 Posted October 17, 2013 The Elmar 90/4 is nice, I like it but since it is my only 90 I have noting to compare it to. Only got the lens no close up ring. Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! shortstop Posted October 17, 2013 Share #488 Posted October 17, 2013 This one is with the 90 Elmar as well. Peter Hi Peter, Nice dreaming atmosphere. Did you use additional lens in these shots? Do you have the rigid or the collapsible version? Why do you suggest no additional ring? I think that lensshade is mandatory with this kind of older lenses. What is your experience? How many questions... Best Antonio Welcome, dear visitor! imported_peter_m Posted October 17, 2013 Share #489 Posted October 17, 2013 Thank you Antonio, It is the current collapsible version..... I am a bit of a sucker for collapsible lenses Those shots are just with the lens, open. I would like the close up attachment but when I bought the lens it wasn't in the budget. The macro elmar comes with a nice metal old style lens shade ( reversible) I tend to always use it just gives a bit more protection to the front element. You have surely the BEST elmar 90 ever built, the macro-elmar. Excellent lens. Because I'm an occasional 90mm user, my interest would be for the old elmar 90/4. May be someone has example of film photos taken with this lens. Anyway, thanks for your contributions. Your flowers close-up are very nice! Doc Henry Posted October 18, 2013 Author Share #494 Posted October 18, 2013 (edited) Thanks Peter, GS and Antonio for looking and posting Another active volcano on the island of Reunion, "Piton de la Fournaise" 2600m classified as Etna, Stromboli, Kilauea" . "Fournaise" or "furnace" because it's very hot when you have volcanic lava "Piton" means "Peak or summit" you can see a recent lava flow on the left (and right) flank of the mountain You will notice that the clouds began to arrive from the right and will surround the island in a few times.
