Uncle Pete Posted May 24, 2013 Share #1 Posted May 24, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Dear Leica Friends, recently aquired a R4 with motor winder R4 and mechanical grip. After mounting the gear I focused and pressed the mechanic button of the grip, continuous peep sounds prior to shooting. It´s annoying! Could not find any hint in the manuals of the motor winder nor of the camera. Does anyone know how to get rid of this sound? - would be great!!! Advertisement Posted May 24, 2013 Posted May 24, 2013 Hi Uncle Pete, Take a look here R4+Motorwinder R4+Grip --> "Peeep" before shooting. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
sc_rufctr Posted May 25, 2013 Share #2 Posted May 25, 2013 If it's a mechanical peeep then I would sugest some lubricant in the appropriate places. But judging by your descriptopn I'm guessing its electronic. They're normally very reliable... FWIW. Not sure how to fix that.
wagner Posted May 25, 2013 Share #3 Posted May 25, 2013 Hi! There is nothing wrong with the winder! The beep is the warning signal for double exposure. just set the little lever under the winder to position 1 and it should work normal again. ciau, Torsten
