lct Posted April 3, 2007 Share #1 Â Posted April 3, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just tested Leica UV-IR filters with R-D1, Elmarit 28/2.8 asph (pics 1 & 2) and Elmar 50/2.8 (pic 3) at f/8, 200 iso. Not quite sure if they improve anything but they don't seem to alter colors nor to reduce contrast at first glance. Also they don't cause cyan shift with both Elmarit and cron 28mm so far. MrEd Posted April 3, 2007 Share #3 Â Posted April 3, 2007 LCT, I've always had an eye for the RD1. That's an excellent camera I must say. Thanks. Ed. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â .
Guest sirvine Posted April 4, 2007 Share #4 Â Posted April 4, 2007 First off, it's nice to know the Leica IR filters won't need to be pulled when swapping lenses with the R-D1. Second, thanks for reminding me how great the R-D1 is. It's a killer camera, no matter how you cut it. I'm often hard-pressed to distinguish R-D1 shots from M8 shots (until I zoom in to 100% on them).
