Leika38 Posted May 22, 2013 Share #1 Posted May 22, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just sharing. I've tried all the others - Sandisk Extreme Pro, Kingston, Toshiba, etc. Laggy and takes more than 2 seconds. With the Samsung SD Plus, my Typ 240 starts fast, in less than a second. The 16GB costs about USD 19.70. Hope this helps.

lct Posted May 22, 2013 Share #2 Posted May 22, 2013 Did you press the shutter release before switching the camera on to count the time? Just curious as my class 10 Mustang, Transcend and Sandisk don't go faster than 2 seconds and a half roughly

Leika38 Posted May 23, 2013 Author Share #4 Posted May 23, 2013 Did you press the shutter release before switching the camera on to count the time? Just curious as my class 10 Mustang, Transcend and Sandisk don't go faster than 2 seconds and a half roughly Switch on, then press shutter release. Picture taken in less than a second. Interesting thing is that I see the frame lines and shutter speed numbers the moment I switch it on, unlike when I use the other SD cards. Just to be sure, I'll go buy another same SD card to see it's just as fast.

lct Posted May 30, 2013 Share #8 Posted May 30, 2013 ... How many shots can you fire off before the M240 slows down? Eleven shots (DNG only - DNG compression on - Empty card). Same with my other class 10 16 GB cards (Mustang, Transcend, Sandisk). All formatted through SDFormatter.
lct Posted May 30, 2013 Share #9 Posted May 30, 2013 Would you mind to press the shutter release in the first place and switch on afterwards? No problem dear LCT, your wish is my command. Result: about 2 seconds and a half like with my other class 10 16 GB cards (brands above).
