I never realised viewfinders are so expensive

I bought a D-Lux 6 on Friday - thanks to Red Dot Cameras.

I like the experience of the additional electronic viewfinder but didn't consider for one minute paying the disproportionate charge Leica want for theirs. I also knew the Olympus one is itself also the thick end of GBP £200 which is quite a tidy sum too.

In the back of my mind I was thinking of using a second hand Voigtlander optical finder. A 21 mm one would be close enough for my purposes.

What a shock I got when I started looking at the Bay and Amazon for them. They seem to fetching ±£300 each which I find hard to believe given that I paid £295 for my Voigtlander 15 mm lens which came with a FREE viewfinder. I had better take better care of it now I know how much it would cost to replace!
