Michael-IIIf Posted May 5, 2013 Share #1 Posted May 5, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I bought a D-Lux 6 on Friday - thanks to Red Dot Cameras. I like the experience of the additional electronic viewfinder but didn't consider for one minute paying the disproportionate charge Leica want for theirs. I also knew the Olympus one is itself also the thick end of GBP £200 which is quite a tidy sum too. In the back of my mind I was thinking of using a second hand Voigtlander optical finder. A 21 mm one would be close enough for my purposes. What a shock I got when I started looking at the Bay and Amazon for them. They seem to fetching ±£300 each which I find hard to believe given that I paid £295 for my Voigtlander 15 mm lens which came with a FREE viewfinder. I had better take better care of it now I know how much it would cost to replace!
Advertisement Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 Hi Michael-IIIf, Take a look here I never realised viewfinders are so expensive. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
ECohen Posted May 5, 2013 Share #2 Posted May 5, 2013 EVF is a useful tool. Go for the Panasonic DMW-LVF2 much cheaper the the Leica and works fine with the Dlux6
Michael-IIIf Posted May 5, 2013 Author Share #3 Posted May 5, 2013 Thanks for that. Similar price to the Oly but the user reviews on Amazon seem to rate it higher than the Oly. Cheers
