ymc226 Posted April 28, 2013 Share #1 Posted April 28, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I just bought PS CS6 to increase control over post processing; this is after a year of LR4 and NIK plug ins. While waiting for 2 books to come from Amazon, I want to get a head start via video learning if there are any good series out there. How about these sites? 1)Photoshop User | Learn Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom and Digital Photography | NAPP 2) Photoshop Tutorials from lynda.com

250swb Posted April 28, 2013 Share #2 Posted April 28, 2013 The only people who use all of Photoshop are the people that teach Photoshop. So to my way of thinking your should learn the bits you need as you go along, picking out individual web videos and instructions on a need to learn basis. Otherwise you can end up crammed full of information and losing sight of the ultimate goal, doing a few things better. Steve
Jeff S Posted April 28, 2013 Share #3 Posted April 28, 2013 Julieanne Kost (from Adobe) videos are popular. Some seem to like George Jardine's videos. Easy to check free samples on these or others...different people prefer different content and delivery styles...best to draw your own conclusions. I agree with Steve, and only occasionally use videos for specific needs. Plus I always keep at least one reference book handy on a given software, but here again that comes down to individual preferences on both learning method and teacher.
