toondasilva Posted April 25, 2013 Share #1 Posted April 25, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello dears, I'm new here and in the Leica universe. My name is Toon, I'm 45yo , into photography since I'm a teenager (first camera was a Minolta X-300 with a 50mm 1.8), started with film (ektachrome, velvia, superia, tmax, etc...) then digital (Nikon D90 and a Canon S95 with LR4) and back to film with a Pentax Spotmatic II , a Nikon FM2n and a F100, a Canonet QL17 GIII and now...a so much desired M6 from 1986 with a summaron 35mm 2.8 from 1968 ...could not afford crons and lux :-( I'm shooting mainly Ilford delta 100 and 400 now , very excited to start in the darkroom the next coming days/weeks and glad to meet you all. Greetings from (todays) sunny Luxembourg Toon
Advertisement Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 Hi toondasilva, Take a look here Hello, I'm new here. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
IWC Doppel Posted April 27, 2013 Share #2 Posted April 27, 2013 Good luck, I have no doubt you'll enjoy your M6. Don't dismiss the Summaron f2.8 in the centre it is extremely sharp. If you need another stop any of the Summicron's will be a nice addition. Perhaps an early 50 as the prices of these can be attractive

steed Posted May 8, 2013 Share #4 Posted May 8, 2013 Welcome! i am an Ilford devotee myself, and would only say never denigrate your equipment. No one else here will denigrate it either. You can get great results with any Leica equipment in reasonable condition. We also have a little secret; when someone wants to save money, you can get great CV (Voigtlander) or used Canon TLM lenses. Enjoy and post with the rest of us. John W
