Orange stripe, M8

Hi out there,

I have found a strange phenomenon. In a Raw-file taken with the M8, I can clearly see a horizontal, orange stripe, about one tenth of the picture. The accompanying JPG, produced by the M8, and also any JPG or TIFF produced with the help of Capture One do not show the stripe. I guess it is calculated away through some internal algorithm, although I have adjusted to no sharpening and the lowest possible noise control in Capture One. Picture was done with software 1.09.

I remember reports about red stripes like that and they seemed to have to do with special lightning. I cannot see any special light conditions in my shot. I do not remember reports on stripes like this that did not "survived" Capture One or the JPG-algorithm.

Anyone has an explanation?

Greetings

Patrick

PS: Although posted on april, 1th, no joke intended.

With what tool are you looking at the raw file? If it doesn't emerge in any jpeg or Tiff, I'm puzzled as to how you do see it.

Scott,

I see the orange stripe in Capture One, looking at the original DNG. As soon as Capture One process the picture, the stripe is no longer there. Already if I look at the window to control the sharpening in Capture One, the stripe disappears.
