In stead I was playing with my new Leica M and an old Mikro Nikkor 105mm lens while listening to music Welcome, dear visitor! pauledell Posted April 16, 2013 Share #5 Posted April 16, 2013 A fine pair. I am surprised how well you focused on the stylus and record with the 105mm micro-nikkor which is my favorite Niko lens. They both have great tones and composition. Paul
Hookeye Posted April 16, 2013 Author Share #6 Posted April 16, 2013 I am surprised how well you focused on the stylus and record with the 105mm micro-nikkor.. I used a tripod and the focus peaking function of the M240. As you know, that particular lens has a very generous focus throw, so nailing it was pretty straightforward. But the lighting was terrible from a single neon lightbulb, I had no option but to convert to monchrome.
