The EVF3 is excellent for photographers, who like to take their pictures with a viewfinder in in situation where a lot of light ist coming from behind and makes ist difficult to use the monitor. Only disadvantage is that the (very good) Leica leather case can not be used, when it is on the camera.

I find the EVF on the LX7 nearly indispensable. It is only $160.00. Though I may be mistaken, I believe it is identical to the Leica branded EVF. Possibly someone has already expounded upon this in the forum.

I am very satisfied, in sunlight, with interesting points of view (see example); for me it's indispensable.

Hi Tony,

I have the EVF 1 on a D-Lux 5 and it is very good indeed, used the EVF 3 at the Leica Shop Mayfair last October and thought it was very good, clear with good definition and no visible lag or distortion when moving the camera, indeed a lot better than some screw viewfinders! (but it isn't 1939 vintage!!!)

Are you going to the LS AGM?
