As you can see, this nest is pretty high above ground, maybe 30 feet.

According to a local, very friendly gentleman with lots of stunning images to prove his story.

last year a young owl fell out of the nest. The young owl had no injuries.

So, the local fellow took a ladder and put the owl back in the tree on a lower branch.

There, the owl was fed by the parent owls. Eventually the young owl climbed up the tree branches.

But it ended up on the wrong branch above the nest.

 

This year's owl chicks should hatch in the next two weeks.

They will be ready to leave the nest by the time the Cottonwood trees get their beautiful new green leaves.
