dkCambridgeshire Posted March 25, 2013 Share #1 Posted March 25, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Some of you may have noticed that the new WestLicht website does not include archives of the previous sales which are a valuable resource of both information and illustrations for collectors. I have been advised today that the archives will be available again "in about two weeks" - Good news! Best wishes dunk
Advertisement Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Hi dkCambridgeshire, Take a look here WestLicht Auction - Previous Sales' Archives. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
zeitz Posted March 25, 2013 Share #2 Posted March 25, 2013 Dunk, I was just looking for the archives yesterday. Thanks for contacting them and getting the commitment to put it back. Zeitz
dkCambridgeshire Posted March 25, 2013 Author Share #3 Posted March 25, 2013 Dunk, I was just looking for the archives yesterday. Thanks for contacting them and getting the commitment to put it back. Zeitz They did not need any commitment ... it's just part of getting their new website fully operational. I actually received two replies - first one stated the old listings will be included with the next auction and the second reply said they should be available online in two weeks time. They must realise that collectors rely on the lists - it's one of the best resources for researching classic cameras - especially Leica cameras and lenses. SideB Posted March 25, 2013 Share #4 Posted March 25, 2013 I had wondered if Westlicht had done a deal with Invaluable or one of the other websites which charge for auction results. I am glad to hear they haven't.
luigi bertolotti Posted March 25, 2013 Share #5 Posted March 25, 2013 Me too had the same information : past auctions' history to comeback soon... it seemed to be just a matter of "data transport" to the new Web platform they did implement. It's a useful source of infos, indeed.
