Rva Posted March 3, 2013 Share #1  Posted March 3, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I made some test concerning focus shift on my new summilux 50. I didn't find any issue. I am very surprised how the lens is sharp. After that I just changed the lens to my 35 summilux FLE and I've discovered some red and green pixels. It seems to me that these pixels follow vertical line. 50 lux does't have this issue. Tested on M9. By the way, 50 lux seems to be more sharper than 35 lux FLE. Any idea, what is the cause of the problem with pixels ? Thanks. Welcome, dear visitor! Tonki-M Posted March 5, 2013 Share #2 Â Posted March 5, 2013 with no idea of your setup and your exposure settings, i'm going to guess that it's a combination of color noise and a case of chromatic aberration.
Bill W Posted March 5, 2013 Share #3 Â Posted March 5, 2013 My monitor really does not show what you are discussing. It might be your lighting and subject matter and not necessarily a lens issue.
pop Posted March 5, 2013 Share #4 Â Posted March 5, 2013 I can see the artifacts, the most obvious being the greenish letter "r" in the word "centre" near the bottom. You might have missed the letter "a" in the word "inappropriate". Â The image appears to be a JPG image. Do the artifacts occur in the DNG as well? Does it become more visible with higher ISO values?
