A super day, meeting old faces and some new. Many thanks to Nick for arranging everything and also big thanks to Ivor and Elaine for the coffee break.

The Shard is certainly worth a second visit, maybe just before dusk when London begins to light up.

Looking forward to the next London meet - hope it isn't too far off.

Sorry I missed the fun... We came, said hello, then my girl friend was not feeling well, so we left as soon as we came! Anyway I am glad you all enjoyed the day.

Until next time

Great day - so nice to see you all again, and the new faces

The Shard was far better than I had imagined

And.... so is the M

I used yesterday as the backdrop for my first review of the camera on my blog:

Rangefinder Chronicles: London's Shard with the Leica M

Thanks for letting me borrow the Voigtlander 21mm lens. The pictures came out very well.

I had read elsewhere that the CV21 didn't work with the M9...

"Achtung: Although wonderful on film, this lens is not for the M9 because its rear nodal point is too close for the sensor. The left and right sides take on weird colour shifts"

Voigtl

Seems fine by me!

going to be in london this saturday, anyone interested in meeting up?

I normally would be but I'm planning to be in Haworth, Yorkshire for their 1940's weekend.:o

Why don't you drop a new thread in the Events and Members Meetings subforum?

Pete.

Normally yes, but this is "garden assault" weekend, and I've come up with excuses every other time!

Might be around for a beer or something in the evening though?
