Northwest Wanderer Posted February 16, 2013 Share #3 Posted February 16, 2013 K-H, you're having way to much fun with your bird photography. Nice images and so sharp.
platypus Posted February 16, 2013 Share #4 Posted February 16, 2013 What a nice little bird. I don't think I've ever seen a photo of a Woodpecker (male or female) prior to this.........other than "Woody" of course. The tightest crop is still amazing quality, very good! robert_parker Posted February 17, 2013 Share #5 Posted February 17, 2013 I really like the tight crop, which highlghts the enthusiasm and intensity of the bird feeding - the lens is just great.
gshay Posted February 17, 2013 Share #6 Posted February 17, 2013 K-H, Three more for our collection! We were viewing them closely yesterday, the refection in their eyes is amazing. Your eyes are so very keen. Enjoying every post of these birds and your knowledge of them. Thank you, George
k-hawinkler Posted February 17, 2013 Author Share #7 Posted February 17, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Paul, Bill, Dee, Robert, and George, Thank you so much for your acknowledgement and encouraging feedback. I am worried that I post too many bird images at a time and upset the balance of the forum photo section. But what the heck, I am having fun and would like others to join in that fun. And sometimes I get really lucky, as with this shot. That makes it all worthwhile. Thanks again for your feedback. I really appreciate that.

k-hawinkler Posted March 17, 2013 Author Share #13 Posted March 17, 2013 Fantastic! So sharp. The 60s tele-Elmar is a gem, isn't it. Henry Henry, Thank you. Indeed, a gem it is. I have several copies and got them for around $500 each. According to the wiki: Production era - 1965-1998 < 28,300 lenses So, by Leica standards they made quite a few. So far I have not been tempted by the Leica APO-Telyt-M 135mm f/3.4 ASPH. One of my Leitz TE 135/4 lens heads is almost always on my Nikon D800E. A terrific combination.
