Stu,

#2 is my favourite shot- I am not wild about spiders though.:(

You will be pleased to know that Spring is sprung here- today I sat in shorts in the garden sun and saw: a queen wasp, a butterfly and a bumble bee. I'll not put away my padded Barbour just yet though!

Any idea how many shots you took in PNG? You certainly have some great stuff from that trip.

Ivan - Thank you. I THINK it was the DMR/R8 with 28-70, and the light was from a spotlight used to light the way to guest rooms. But it might have been the FX-01.

DD - Thank you. The ant just edges out #1 for me.

Pete - Thank you. I was heartbroken to find that my other weevil photo (below) was not as sharp or well exposed as I had hoped -- One doesn't see weevils mating every day. Regarding the number of exposures, I think it was about 1,200.

Excellent collection of bugs Stuart , one of my favorite the spider looks like it has an Australian cousin Araneidae , nephila the Golden Orb.

Our best and most handsome web spider some webs can have a distinct golden shine. The little green beetle is just superb with its rich colouring. Thanks for sharing.

Brent -

Thank you. I think the only reason I saw it was that many hours earlier (in the moring) we had seen the weevils there and I wondered if they were still "at it". As is so often the case, that was lucky for me.
