david strachan Posted January 5, 2013 Share #1 Posted January 5, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi I'm new so hope this is the right place to post. Got my "first Leica" six months ago...and my second, and my third. M6, IIIf and M5. Also Visoflex II and Universal Focusing Bellows II. And lots of other stuff:eek: I can't get the Universal focusing bellows to accept my M6, which it should. The frame line button and the lens release button sit proud of the body, and don't allow me to rotate the camera and get a flush fit to the bellows. can anyone help please? Many thanks and cheers Dave S Also for sure???does the adapter No Leitz 16596 UOOND fit a summicron lens into the objective end of the bellows?? farnz Posted January 5, 2013 Share #2 Posted January 5, 2013 Welcome to the forum, Dave! Firstly, the Bellows II won't fit straight onto your M6. You need to fit your Visoflex II between your Bellows II and your M6 because you need to see through the lens to focus it. You haven't told us which Summicron you have but the UOOND/16596 fits 35 and 50 mm lenses into your Bellows II but for a 90 mm Summicron (lens head only) you'd need a UOOZK/16598 instead. Pete. david strachan Posted January 5, 2013 Author Share #3 Posted January 5, 2013 Hi Pete, thanks for the reply. Of course...I need to focus ... using the Viso. My Summicron is a collapsible 50mm f2 built around 1953 and is in lovely condition after a CLA. I love using it on my cameras and has excellent resolution even used on long extension tubes connected to a Canon 60D digi. I get 3:1 macro...and beaut across the field. So also have a 135 Hector f4.5 LTM, and a 90mm f4 Elmar LTM.. I gather I can use the head of the 90mm and even get infinty focus straight away just using the bellows ring 16558. But how do I work the summicron? Your help appreciated. cheers Dave S
david strachan Posted January 5, 2013 Author Share #4 Posted January 5, 2013 Oh yes Pete, I see how the UOOND works and will take any bayonet lens Leica M lens. Thanks for your help, cheers dave S
