Albek Posted December 29, 2012 Share #1 Posted December 29, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am new to the Leica M8 and has a Canon serenar 50mm f1.8 LTM 39 at hand with a screw mount. So my question is which adapter do I need to fit the lens to the M8. Thank you for any advise.

!Nomad64 Posted December 29, 2012 Share #2 Posted December 29, 2012 Any adapter LTM to M either made by Leica or 3rd party makers - Voigtländer above all - expressly made to fit 50-75 mm lenses will do. Cheers, Bruno
doolittle Posted December 29, 2012 Share #3 Posted December 29, 2012 You need a Screw-M adapter. There are three different types, so get the one which brings up the correct frame lines (i.e. 50/75, the other two options are 35/135 and 28/90). There are various different makes: Leica, Voigtlander, no name ebay ones etc. The only other thing to consider is that you can get the vanilla adapter or ones that are adapted to take 6bit coding. here's a link
Erik Gunst Lund Posted December 29, 2012 Share #4 Posted December 29, 2012 For the M8 it's nice to have an adapter with grooves for the 6-bit code.
