I am back from my trip and started the development of my films 8) My DD-X bottle is almost empty and I need to pull some Delta 400 to ISO 200 (never worked with Delta 100 and 400 before). Just developed my first PAN-F yesterday. Quite nice!! Could I use Ilfosol 3 without losing too much quality ? Which developers are good at pulling? I have read that Ilfosol 3 should not be used for a film with an ISO over 125. What is your opinion ? Thank you for helping again. dave_d Posted December 28, 2012 Share #2 Posted December 28, 2012 You can pull process with about any developer as long as your development time remains above about 5 minutes. I don't know if one developer is better than another at pulling, it is more of a personal preference. Just reduce your development time about 15% to 20% from your standard development time. Some may even tell you not to bother reducing your development time because one stop is within the latitude of the film. tobey bilek Posted January 3, 2013 Share #4 Posted January 3, 2013 Cut 20 % of the regular time. You will get beautiful full shadow detail negs that have much less grain.
