Advertisement Posted December 24, 2012 Posted December 24, 2012 Hi stump4545, Take a look here sypderpro vs color munki. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
IWC Doppel Posted December 25, 2012 Share #2 Posted December 25, 2012 When I did some reading it seemed that the latest color Munki display was the most accurate display only calibration device using the same internals as the considerably more expensive full calibration device (but only screen) It works well but I have not directly compared
stump4545 Posted December 26, 2012 Author Share #3 Posted December 26, 2012 do most photographers around here just wind up using just some model of the sypderpro product line or similiar brand? just wasn't sure if the added step of printing an actual print and creating a paper profile based on "your" printer/paper/ink combo was a big color management improvement. robert blu Posted December 27, 2012 Share #4 Posted December 27, 2012 I use a spider pro to calibrate my i.mac (matt) monitor and I'm pleased by the result of the prints (hp9180B). The answer to your question is not easy, it depends on much exact you want or need the colors. Try to explain: a friend of mine is a professional photographer and has to prepare (or print) files for a company producing table-clothes where sometime 4 or 6 different colors are. In this case he needs all 4-6 colors on the print have to be exactly the same of the real table-cloth. But if I have to print a portrait of my wife wearing a multicolor dress it is not so essencial to me if there is a slight, of course a slight difference in one of the colors of her dress. Logically the skin tones have not to be violet or green. I'm afraid this answer does not help you too much, it's only my point of view. Regards, robert
