Nick De Marco Posted December 2, 2012 Share #1 Â Posted December 2, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Had to get one, what with this renewed obsession with screw mount and 1950s rangefinders. I like it, maybe not as much as the IIIf - it's different though. Â Here are a couple of photos from my first blog about it (one of it; one by it) - check the blog here to read and see more: Rangefinder Chronicles: Leica IIIg + 50mm Summarit f1.5 - first roll
Advertisement Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 Hi Nick De Marco, Take a look here Leica IIIg. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
ejd Posted December 3, 2012 Share #2 Â Posted December 3, 2012 !! So what's that? A IIIc, 2 IIIf's and a IIIg? That's great. Nice lenses too. I stopped at one IIIf (so far), but also have a IIIc and a IIIg. They are very nice cameras to use. Like you I think I like the IIIf best of the three. EJohnE Posted December 4, 2012 Share #5 Â Posted December 4, 2012 Someone's going Barnack crazy! You can't praise or blame Barnack for the IIIG. I had one from new, and found that the rangefinder went out of adjustment too often, so after a couple of years traded it for a Leicaflex (standard). That turned out to have an unreliable shutter in cold weather at first, but very reliable after a warranty repair. I hope your IIIG proves OK. John.
