I have a couple of the old Leitz "double-ended bayonet" lens back caps that I like to use:

The only problem is that they are not sealed for dust. I was wondering what kind of solvent I might use to weld a separator plate. Acetone does not do the job.

Of course, I could get two normal bayonet caps and glue them together as well.

Any solvent suggestions?

Why don't just epoxy-glue two normal lenscaps back to back? Those old double ones are too shallow for wideangles anyway.

Too shallow to use for two wideangles. But they work fine for combining a 75/90/135 with a wideangle. However, I rarely use mine as the fit is too loose.

They are not perfectly flat... :o : surely possible along the slightly elevated diameters (which are 1mm wide, and flat) but can maybe result in a not so strong coupling....

(I had this idea of coupling a pair time ago, and renounced... but it could work, maybe).
