Carrying two M's at the same time?

I carry two 35mm film cameras the traditional way with one around the neck and one on my right shoulder. All my shirts/jackets/vests have epaulets for this purpose.

Digital SLR Pro's usually have only one camera due to the size/weight/cost of the equipment and the fact that a large range zoom offers what two single range lense can supply at good quality today.

When doing a wedding using two M's, its the same way but lately for informal work, it's one M with a 21mm outdoors or 35mm f1.4 indoors with or without SF24D.-Dick

Two around the neck on the stock strap, with one strap shortened. If you wear one over the shoulder it can get banged around a bit. Best way over the shoulder is backwards with lens in. The two around the neck is the safest and quickest to change cameras.

Would you trust the baseplate attachment to the M9 etc. body : I would not !

.

After seeing the video I am now not convinced that I want to hang 10 grands worth of camera/lens on a plastic holder:confused:

I gave up carrying two cameras years ago.

Even with one I want to reduce rather than expand the technological options available to me, so I increasingly take only one lens. It has had nothing but a positive effect on my photography.

Carrying more than one camera makes anything else difficult. Not having a camera, as distinct from from an iPhone, with you always, means you are not really a photographer.

My compromise is the IIIf, with a 35mm f3.5 Summaron, with no strap, and no case. It is the most compact Leica rig ever, and fits in almost any pocket. The iPhone works well as a light meter, albeit a little slow.

My wife's VLux 40 may be an even better "grab and shoot" rig. The lens is truly amazing, and it is a camera that deserves more and better attention than it has been given here.:)

The Billingham Hadley Pro carries two M bodies and 4 lenses. I carry one for color and one for B&W. The lenses are 24mm, 35mm, 50mm Summilux and and a 90mm Apo-Cron.

I don't carry this load every day, it's more like my travel kit. But when I actually travel, I adjust my lenses for the environment accordingly.

Yep and he has a real passion for Leica and photography.

Neil, my preference is an M with a 35mm around my neck and the other M with a 90mm and the 21 SEM lens in the bag.

I prefer two bodies. I like to provoke a response in people with my street photography so i'll often kick my Titan along the floor as I go. If my foot needs a rest i'll have my man servant carry it for me. For those times I'm feeling extra provocative or feel the need to "spice" things up a little i'll do both at the same time.

Two great heads think alike.............M9 with 21mm around the neck, M with 90mm in the bag along with my only other lens the 35mm..........enough
