efix Posted November 21, 2012 Share #3 Â Posted November 21, 2012 The X2, as well as the new M 240, uses the technology of the Olympus VF-2 viewfinder, whereas the D-Lux series, being made by Panasonic, uses the Panasonic EVF technology. The two technologies, though Olympus and Panasonic being partners on the Micro Four Thirds system, are not mutually compatible. Â You can use the X2 EVF on Olympus cameras and the Leica M or the Olympus VF-2 on Leica X2 and M, and you can use the D-Lux EVF on the Panasonic models, but not vice versa.
