stunsworth Posted November 14, 2012 Share #1 Posted November 14, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) The right hand side of the home page appears to have sprouted a new column. Is there anyway of turning it off?

pico Posted November 14, 2012 Share #2 Posted November 14, 2012 Do you have the Plain Vanilla format selected? It gets changed for me when I purge caches and cookies and has to be reset. .

pop Posted November 15, 2012 Share #4 Posted November 15, 2012 It's a drop-down menu on the left hand side in the black bar near the bottom of the page.
wlaidlaw Posted November 15, 2012 Share #5 Posted November 15, 2012 It's a drop-down menu on the left hand side in the black bar near the bottom of the page. Pop, I don't know if it is because I am using Safari but the only items on the bottom black bar are as per images below. Changing any of these parameters does not seem to alter the behaviour of the right hand information bar. Am I looking in the wrong place? Wilson Welcome, dear visitor! pop Posted November 15, 2012 Share #6 Posted November 15, 2012 Wilson - that's the control pico and I were referring to. However, I don't know if it solves the issue with the page layout mentioned by Steve. Edit - The style mentioned by pico (plain vanilla) does indeed hide the right column on the forum's home page. However: - it's available to sponsoring members only and - it shows a wild mixture of red and black text which I heartily dislike. Personally, I'm on the eyesight retaining flavor and put up with the extra column on the home page. I use that page but rarely, anyway.
