andybarton Posted March 18, 2007 Share #2 Posted March 18, 2007 He should have spent it on a paint job. :^# (That's a pukie, but I don't think it's a standard emoticon... )
jmr Posted March 19, 2007 Share #3 Posted March 19, 2007 Pete, so now your fillings only rattle loose after 4 miles. Nice shot btw.
stuny Posted March 20, 2007 Share #4 Posted March 20, 2007 Pete - In the semi-abstract as we have here the colors work exceptionaly well. As a car to own, andy's "pukie" appeals to me. The photo, though, has most appealing smooth surfaces, bold colors and geometrics.
elansprint72 Posted March 20, 2007 Author Share #5 Posted March 20, 2007 Steve (the owner) tells me that the paint cost 1k GBP extra! He says that this is his last fling with Porsche and because this colour is only available on the GT3 RS, he went for it! His last 20 (ish) 911s have all been in sober colours. I'm going to take it for a day's shooting next time the weather is perfect- i.e. fluffy white cumulus and azure blue, and try to capture all the beautiful shapes and curves with sky reflections. Watch this space. btw, John, the ride is remarkable (even now, track-modified), no banging or crashing at all; just shows how suspension tech has come on since Morgan designed theirs in 1912.
