elansprint72 Posted March 18, 2007 Share #1 Posted March 18, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Although primarily a B&W shooter, I can sometimes see the advantage of colour, particularly when it does not involve those dreadful Kodak blue "greens". elansprint72 Posted March 18, 2007 Author Share #2 Posted March 18, 2007 Bonus shot Taken a couple of minutes later, just around the bend; what a wonderful place my home country is!
andybarton Posted March 18, 2007 Share #3 Posted March 18, 2007 You need a lens hood for the second one, mate
elansprint72 Posted March 18, 2007 Author Share #4 Posted March 18, 2007 You need a lens hood for the second one, mate Trying to avoid "vingetting". I always use the hood on the D2, it is on the front of the UV filter, which is usually well patinated" this accounts for the flare, most probably; in this case I chose to regard it as a contributory part of my art. Looks good on my NASA-quality monitor, others with inferior, badly-calibrated equipment may disagree, that is of no concern to me. Sorry folks, just trying to get into the new, unfriendly, superiority complex on your sleeve, mood of the NEW forum.
elansprint72 Posted March 18, 2007 Author Share #5 Posted March 18, 2007 Another bonus shot- not sure if this works at all . Something had knocked the jetty off it's landward mounting; the white stuff is frost; it was a touch chilly!
azzo Posted March 18, 2007 Share #6 Posted March 18, 2007 Three lovely and very well framed images. I'd hang the b&w one on my wall anytime Pete . .. fantastic. And Yes..your country is beautiful. Azzo
rob_x2004 Posted March 19, 2007 Share #7 Posted March 19, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Pete, the third image comes up quite interesting in b&w, contrasted up a bit. A frag more focus forward, or f/stop so that you can sharpen the tilted deck it really rocks. I think it needs a frame to separate from the leica background, and it is a hanger. jmr Posted March 19, 2007 Share #8 Posted March 19, 2007 Pete, I like the geometry and contrast in the third shot particularly.

stuny Posted March 21, 2007 Share #10 Posted March 21, 2007 Pete - You're having a banner day of posting superb photos. I like 'em all for their color, composition, details, depth and feeling of peace (even with a tilted pier).
