dchalfon Posted November 7, 2012 Share #1 Posted November 7, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) i've finally decided to retire my 27 imac. it has given so many technical problems during the last 2 years... i will switch for one of the new mac mini servers with an eizo monitor, which i know are expensive and even more here in brazil where i live. which eizo model would be a good balance between price/performance? the flexscan line? Advertisement Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 Hi dchalfon, Take a look here mac mini + eizo which monitor?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
MarkP Posted November 7, 2012 Share #2 Posted November 7, 2012 I also have a new MacMini dual-drive server and two NEC PA24w (no dead pixel) 24-inch monitors dedicated for photography. The NECs are outstanding - you may want to consider these instead of the Eizos.
IWC Doppel Posted November 7, 2012 Share #3 Posted November 7, 2012 It sounds like you have been unlucky ? My 27" iMAC has been faultless, you could consider the new 75% reduced relectiion screen due in Dec12 ?
Jeff S Posted November 9, 2012 Share #4 Posted November 9, 2012 Another vote to consider a NEC. Considerably less expensive than equivalent size Eizo, without much sacrifice. Eizos are exceptional, but you pay a premium. My 24" NEC with built-in SpectraView II calibration software has performed well over the last few years (along with Mac Pro).
