fotografr Posted November 6, 2012 Share #1 Posted November 6, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) If anyone has sample images taken with the V-Lux 4 in low light, I'd love to see them. I'm specifically interested in how the camera would perform in stage light situations. Thanks,

stuny Posted November 9, 2012 Share #2 Posted November 9, 2012 Brent - I too wonder about their low light performance. For our trip to Antarctica and NW Argentina in January 2012 my R8/DMR and 80-200 lingered too long in Solms so they lent me a V Lux 2. It's low light performance was inferior to my D2, but the new cameras (V Lux 3 & 4) have a different sensor. I also found the manual focus to too clunky, and almost unsuable, as well as the inability to autofocus at an agle through glass, neither of which are probelms with the D2. Can we hear from people with the V Lux 4 about manual focus, too? The V Lux 2 used a rachetting thumbwheel on the top back right of the camera. wda Posted November 9, 2012 Share #3 Posted November 9, 2012 I noticed that delivery in the UK only started this week, so it might be too early to receive responses. LFI current issue has a brief report on the camera, but nothing to meet your specific request. I, too, will be interested in real-world feed-back from a serious user.
